VILORIA STOPS SOLIS!

In an action-packed bout, Brian Viloria became a world champion once again, stopping Mexican Ulises Solis in the 11th round to win the IBF light-flyweight title.
A Viloria right cross stopped matters for Solis at the 2:56 mark of the penultimate round.
Viloria was joined by his father Benjamin with this victory, making it a sweet family affair.
According to ringside reports, Viloria (25-2, 15 KOs)took the initiative early, althought the defending champ rallied in the middle rounds. When Viloria got his second wind, he eventually put Solis out with an overhand right at 2:56 of the 11th round. Solis took roughly 5 minutes to get back on his feet after the fight.
?It?s a storybook ending,? Viloria told the Star Bulletin. ?I?ve fought in places where people go shopping and on street corners. You can never write a better ending than that.?
Referee Bruce McTavish deducted Solis two points earlier in the fight for low blows.
?That?s what we trained for, to stay focused for every minute in the round for 12 rounds,? Viloria added. ?I got a great right hand. I haven?t been using it in past fights. The training camp was perfect and I got to show it with a world title.?
