By Salven L. Lagumbay PhilBoxing.com Wed, 28 Jan 2009

Australian Michael "The Great" Katsidis will face the media today along with rival Angel Hugo Ramirez of Argentina in a special press conference arranged by promoter Sammy Gello-ani 11AM at the Ballroom 2 of Cebu City Marriott Hotel, the official hotel of this Saturday's blockbuster "War" card.
Katsidis and Ramirez square off for the vacant WBO Asia Pacific lightweight title which was previously held by Bobby Pacquiao.
Katsidis and his team arrived in Cebu Monday evening, and were met by Gello-ani before proceeding to the Marriott Hotel.
Katsidis held a workout late yesterday afternoon at the IPI Gym supervised by his trainer Brendon Smith, according to Gello-ani. The Australian fighter is aiming for an impressive win against Ramirez before he takes on ex-IBF champ Julio Diaz in a fight tentatively set for April 10 in California.
The many-time Promoter and Manager of the Year awardee Gello-ani also informed the media that the official weigh-in will take place on Friday, 1PM, at the Rosal/Adelfa Room of the Marriott Hotel.
Meanwhile, WBO Asia Pacific chairman Leon Panoncillo also planed in yesterday along with Ramirez just in time for the final press conference today.
Three WBO title fights featuring the 3 Matador M's of Philippines boxing, namely Ciso "Kid Terrible" Morales, Marvelous Marvin Sonsona, and Rocky Marcial.
