PACQUIAO APPEALS TO FRIENDS AND FANS NOT TO VISIT HIM DURING TRAINING
By Virgi T. Romano PhilBoxing.com Thu, 18 Sep 2008

World Boxing Council lightweight champion Manny Pacquiao has appealed to his friends and fans to refrain from giving him a visit when he starts training at the Wildcard gym in Los Angeles, especially those who are contracted with cough and colds.
In his column ?Kumbinasyon?, Pacquiao explained that his coming fight with boxing?s Golden Boy Oscar De La Hoya on December 6 would be the biggest challenge of his career, and therefore, he needs to be very careful with his health.
Pacquiao explained.
Last Tuesday, the 29-year-old Pambansang Kamao failed to show up at the Wildcard gym, after suffering from minor colds, which according to him may be due to many people that greeted him when he arrived Sunday night, from the airport and even in his La Palazzo apartment.
But, according to Pacquiao, he was happy to see his friends and fans who like him are excited with his megabucks fight with De La Hoya at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.
