BobPAC, RODELA, LUNAS IN ONE CARD!
By Salven L. Lagumbay PhilBoxing.com Sun, 06 Jul 2008
Manny Pacquiao's MP Promotions has announced a lethal card set to take place on August 2 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel to be headlined by the legendary fighter's brother Bobby Pacquiao seeking to win Michael Katsidis' old belt against Thailand's Decho Bankluaygym.
The iconic Pacquiao, fresh off a demolition job on David Diaz, shows his big heart once again by not forgetting those people who have helped him in the past, like the sparmates who worked for him.
David Rodela of California is one such sparmate, whom Pacquiao has made sure to see action in the card in a ten-round encounter against ex-Philippine lightweight king Arnel Porras.
Rodela sparred with Pacquiao in Cebu when the latter was prepping for his rematch with Marco Antonio Barrera.
On the same huge August 2 card, OPBF bantam king Rolly Lunas will defend his title against Kaona Klongpajol.
An explosive undercard is being readied, according to co-promoter Rex 'Wakee' Salud, who was at ringside for the Pacquiao-Diaz fight along with Cebu City Mayor Tom Osmena and wife Margot with son Miguel Osmena, Mayor Geraldine Yapha, Congressman Yapha, Councilor Edu Rama and Councilor Ahong, Congresswoman Nerissa Ruiz and Undersecretary Lito Ruiz.
