Arca clinches 3rd and final IM norm; Guns for GM norm in last round

Bangkok, Thailand ---FIDE Master Christian Gian Karlo Tade - Arca split the point with Grandmaster Surya Shekhar Ganguly of India in 43 moves of Catalan Opening using the white pieces after Round 8 in the 22nd Bangkok Chess Club Open 2025 on Sunday, April 20,2025.
Arca now has 6.0 points, enough to clinch his third and final International Master (IM) norm.
"I will all go out for a win tomorrow, Monday for a possible 1st Grandmaster (GM) norm," the 16-year-old chess wizard said.-Marlon Bernardino -
