UNDEFEATED STANFORD SENIOR DANTE “THE INFERNO” KIRKMAN RETURNS MAY 24 IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA

PALO ALTO, CA (April 15, 2025) — Unbeaten middleweight prospect and Stanford University senior Dante “The Inferno” Kirkman (4-0, 2 KOs) is set to return to the ring on May 24, 2025, in a 6-round showdown against Jose Manuel Gomez (4-5-1, 4 KOs) at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds, in the heart of Northern California. The event titled "The Next Generation of Fighters" is being brought to you by Elite Underdog Promotions.
The unbeaten Palo Alto native, balancing his college studies and his professional boxing career, will step into the ring for the second time this year as he continues to build momentum and stay active in 2025.
“It feels great to be back in the ring and this year I want to try to get in five fights,” said Kirkman. “Staying busy is the key to getting better. This is my second fight of 2025, and I want to keep pushing myself forward. Every fight is a chance to grow.”
“Gomez is tough and has some power, so I’m preparing for a real fight,” continued Kirkman on his matchup with Gomez. “I respect anyone who steps into the ring, but I’m ready to handle business and keep my ‘0’ intact.”
The May 24 bout will also serve as another homecoming bout for Kirkman, who last fought at Thunder Valley Casino Resort, in Lincoln. All four of Kirkman’s fights have been in Northern California. “Fighting at home means everything to me,” added Kirkman. “There’s no better feeling than having your family, friends, and community in the crowd. It’s extra motivation to put on a great show.”
Making his mark both academically and athletically, Kirkman will soon become the first Stanford University graduate to compete as a professional boxer—a rare distinction he takes immense pride in. “I’m proud to represent Stanford in the boxing world,” concluded Kirkman. “It shows that you can chase your dreams in and out of the classroom. I hope my journey inspires others to break barriers too.”
