In a compelling co-main event that set the stage for the welterweight unification bout between Boots Ennis and Eimantas Stanionis in Atlantic City, NJ Saturday night (Sunday in Manila), Raymond Ford (17-1-1, 8 KOs) delivered a dominant performance, successfully defending his WBA Continental North America Super Featherweight title against Thomas Mattice (22-5-1, 17 KOs). Ford showcased his superior speed and boxing acumen over ten rounds, earning a unanimous decision victory with all three judges scoring the bout 100-90 in his favor. The win further solidifies Ford's position as a rising force in the super featherweight division.
The DAZN main card also saw emotional scenes as Shakhram Giyasov (17-0, 10 KOs) overcame personal tragedy to deliver a powerful fourth-round knockout of Argentina's Franco Ocampo (17-3-0, 8 KOs) in their welterweight contest. Finally, super featherweight Zaquin Moses (3-0, 2 KOs) earned a second-round knockout victory over Alex Pallette (1-4, 1 KO).
