Dionisio, IIEE Triumph in Dart of the 3rd D’ Engineers Cup PhilBoxing.com Wed, 19 Mar 2025 Engr. Roberto Dionisio Jr. of IIEE emerged as the champion in the dart single event with Engr. Kenneth Berguera (IIEE) as the 1st runner-up and Engr. Dennis Reyes of IECEP as 2nd runner-up title in the Philippine Technological Council World Engineering Day (PTC-WED) dart tournament dubbed as “3rd D’ Engineers’ Cup” held last March 16, 2025 at Tiendesita in Pasig City. In the team event, the winning trio composed of Dionisio, Engr. Giuseppe Dean, and Engr. Orlan Bernardino of IIEE, demonstrated exceptional teamwork and coordination, ultimately claiming the Championship trophy. They triumphed over the team of Reyes, Engr. Aaron Tolentino, and Engr. JC Amores of SAEP, who finished as 1st runner-up and the team of Berguera, Engr. Jerson Bergantin, and Engr. Mark Serafines of IIEE who secured the 2ndrunner-up position. The one-day tournament drew 13 teams from the institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE), Society of Aerospace Engineers of the Philippines (SAEP), Philippine Society of Sanitary Engineers (PSSE), Institute of Electronics Engineers (IECEP) and Philippine Society of Agriculture and Biosystems Engineers (PSABE). The bullseye event participated by majority of the over 70 participants was won by Engr. Orlan Bernardino of IIEE with Engr. Nat Lim of IECEP as 1st runner-up and Dionisio as 2nd runner-up. “The success of the event are due to commitment of every participant who showcased their precision and competitive spirit of engineers. The tournament not only celebrated the skills of talented dart players but also reinforced the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and camaraderie among the various engineering discipline under the PTC” says Dionisio, former chapter president of IIEE Metro East who hosted the event. The event was attended by the PTC President, Engr. Federico Monsada and PTC-WED Chairman Engr. Romulo Agatep, IIEE National President Engr. Alberto Herrera Jr., IIEE Former National President Allan Alvarez, IIEE Metro Manila Governor Jovenie Tagatac and IIEE Metro East President Vincent Roman. In the PTC-WED Basketball, the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineer (PSME) bows to IIEE (88-106) and IECEP (70-81) in GenX division and also to SAEP and Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines (GEP) in millennial division. Other results in millennial: IIEE over SAEP 77-69 and IECEP won over GEP 85-81. In the PTC-WED golf hosted by the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE), the winners in class A is Manfred Guanco as champion and also fired the nearest to the pin in hole 13 at 25.7 feet., 1st runner up is Carlo Caruman who also made the most accurate drive in hole 17 and 2nd runner up Gil Manuel. Class B Champion is Kevin Matias followed by Jaybee Pasayan and Francisco Sawali. Class C champion is Noel Yumol followed by Eric Salvadora and Reu Dellota. The Low Net champion is Willy Go and Low Gross Champion is Cecilio Reyes. Longest drive at 331 yards goes to Jophrey Ang and Allan Chua had the Longest Putt of 16 feet.
