CEBU, Philippines — As we all celebrate Women's Month, two of our nation's finest female boxers, Norj Guro and Wenie Cline Verano, are seeking assistance to take their careers to the next level.
Norj, the reigning WIBA Atom (102 pounds) World Champion, and Wenie, the reigning WBC Asia Flyweight (112 pounds) Champion, are reaching out to Brico Santig, director of Highland Boxing Promotions, for guidance and support.
Both champions have previously worked with Santig and trust his expertise, having witnessed his success in organizing regular shows in Thailand.
Norj Guro and Wenie Verano hope to secure spots in Santig's upcoming event on April 26 in Bangkok, Thailand.
That show would provide them with the activity they need to stay competitive.
Norj & Wenie (wearing black), and their cute little daughters are so kind visit Filipino Promoter Brico Santig, director of Highland Boxing Promotions on March 10 in Cebu.
Regular bouts are crucial for a boxer's success, no wonder why Guro and Verano are eager to stay active.
Guro's last fight was in October last year in Mexico, while Verano's last battle was one year ago in Bukidnon.
The two lovely champions, who are adorable single mothers and sole providers for their children are seeking Brico Santig's assistance.
It will involve collaboration with much appreciated Australian boxing expert Gary Connolly and popular Cebuano coach Brix Flores, a former Asian Games medalist.
As we celebrate Women's Month, we at Philboxing proudly recognize the achievements of our brave champions Norj Guro and Wenie Cline Verano, and we wish them continued success in their careers.
