USA Boxing Announces 2025 Men’s Elite High Performance Team Roster

Seven Athletes Named to Men’s Elite Team Roster for 2025
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (February 19, 2025) -- Team USA’s 2025 Men’s Elite roster has been announced following the conclusion of the Elite Selection Camp. The camp was hosted at the United States Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, from January 20 to February 18.
The boxers listed below were selected based on the in-depth set of procedures conducted by the USA Boxing High Performance Department. In total, seven men were chosen for the USA Boxing Men’s Elite High Performance team across as many weight classes.
The seven boxers selected will represent Team USA in World Boxing Cup events throughout the 2025 schedule, beginning in Foz do Iguacu, Brazil, March 31 to April 5. The inaugural 2025 World Boxing Elite World Championships will be hosted in Liverpool, England, September 4-14.
USA Boxing’s 2025 Elite Men’s roster is comprised of Orlando Zamora (Turlock, Calif.), Thomas Covington (Westland, Mich.), Dustin Jimenez (Rochester, N.Y.), Carlos Flowers (Dover, Del.), Robby “Rahim” Gonzales (Las Vegas, Nev.), Malachi Georges (Teaneck, N.J.) and Kelvin Watts (Chesapeake, Va.).
Gonzales returns to the Elite roster with a wealth of international experience, including a gold medal at the 2021 World Championships. Georges makes his splash on the roster after holding a spot on the 2024 USA Elite Squad, which ensued after he took gold at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials for Boxing. Covington claimed his position after earning Most Outstanding Male Elite Boxer at the 2024 USA Boxing National Championships in Richmond, Va.
USA Boxing is led by Head Coach Billy Walsh (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and National Resident Coach Timothy Nolan (Rochester, N.Y.).
