ALEXIS FREDRIKSSON CONTINUES TO MAKE WAVES
By Carlos Costa PhilBoxing.com Sun, 09 Feb 2025

CEBU, Philippines — In a display of skill and power, Swedish-Filipino rising-star Alexis Fredriksson (2-0, 2 KOs) scored a round one stoppage victory over more-experienced Reymond Empic (8-9-2, 3 KOs) on Saturday, February 8, at the NUSTAR Resort in Cebu, Philippines.
Fredriksson, who made his professional debut just last December, is quickly establishing himself as one of the most exciting young prospects in Cebu boxing.
His impressive performance against Empic marked his second consecutive knockout win, showcasing his effective punching power and technical prowess.
The 21-year-old Fredriksson, who trains out of Cebu’s popular Omega Boxing Gym, is generating significant buzz among boxing fans.
His unique blend of Swedish discipline and Filipino flair is proving to be a winning combination!
As the southpaw Fredriksson continues to rack up impressive victories, fans and pundits alike are eagerly anticipating his next fight.
Will Fredriksson be approved to fight Cagayan de Oro’s popular former champ Mark John Yap (34-19, 17 KOs) next, as he, his team and Mark John want?
Will he be given the opportunity to prove himself?
One thing is certain: Alexis Fredriksson is a new name to watch in Filipino boxing!
Congratulations to Alexis Fredriksson, to his manager Pio Paulo Castillo, and his coach “Dr. J” Julius Erving Junco for Saturday’s win!
