Chinese Aketelieti Yelejian Shocks, Stops Brave Genesis Genesis Servania to Claim WBO Oriental 147 Belt (Video)

CEBU, Philippines — In a shocking turn of events, Genesis "Azukal" Servania (35-5, 16 KO's), the popular Bacolod-native, suffered a devastating knockout loss at the hands of 26-year-old Aketelieti Yelejian (10-4-1, 3 KOs) of Xinjiang, China.
The two fighters clashed in a highly anticipated bout for the vacant WBO Oriental Welterweight title on Saturday, February 8, at the NUSTAR Resort and Casino in Cebu, Philippines.
Servania, known for his explosive punching power and aggressive fighting style, got off to a promising start, dominating the early rounds with his lightning-quick combinations and razor-sharp reflexes.
However, as the fight wore on, Servania's energy level began to wane, allowing Yelejian to seize the initiative and take control of the contest.
The Chinese fighter's punching coupled with Servania’s reduced stamina eventually took its toll on the Bacoleño, who was sadly stopped in the 10th chapter.
The referee had no choice but to waved off as Servania was at the mercy of Yelejiang, taking blows, not replying fire.
This setback marks Servania's third knockout loss in his last four fights, raising concerns among boxing fans about the 33-year-old's future in the sport. He loves boxing. So what to do now?
Perhaps Servania should take a step back to reassess his career with his team in Vietnam.
