VIC SALUDAR DISPLAYS “VICIOUS” FORM, ANNIHILATES ROLDAN SASAN AT NUSTAR RESORT, CEBU (VIDEO) By Carlos Costa PhilBoxing.com Sun, 09 Feb 2025 ![]() CEBU, Philippines — The showdown between WBO #1 Minimumweight contender "Vicious" Vic Saludar (26-6, 16 KOs) and Roldan Sasan (8-7-1, 3 KOs) lived up to what fans expected, with Saludar delivering a performance filled with class and quality boxing. From the opening bell, the 34-year-old former champion Saludar, hailing from Polomolok, Cotabato, unleashed a flurry of precise and powerful blows that Sasan, 25, from Carmen, Bohol, struggled to counter. Saludar's lightning-quick footwork, razor-sharp reflexes, and pinpoint accurate punching made him nearly untouchable. The Brave Boholano simple could not land a solid shot on Vic. However, he connected to the former champ with some occasional left counter, without much effect. Sasan, to his credit, showed immense heart and determination, attempting to fight back against the onslaught. But, Saludar's exceptional defensive skills, honed from years of experience, allowed him to effortlessly slip, bob, and weave around Sasan's attacks. In the mind of fans at Nustar convention hall, the outcome was never in doubt. Saludar dropped Sasan on a neutral corner from where the big-hearted Boholano kid could not come up, the referee reaching the ten-second count, waving the fight off. Saludar's superior skillset, coupled with his formidable power, proved too much for Sasan to handle. The victory keeps Vic Saludar active, while cementing his status as one of the top minimumweight contenders globally. With this win, fans are now eagerly anticipating Saludar's next move, hoping he'll challenge for a world title in 2025. Yes, because as of now Vic is the WBO #1, WBA #7, WBC #15, and IBF #8 ranked minimumweight contender. "Vicious" Vic Saludar is undoubtedly wanting to FIGHT AGAIN for world title greatness. Will 2025 be the year Saludar claims his second world title? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain – Vic Saludar is still a force to be reckoned with in the minimumweight division.
