BROWN VS. REZNICEK NXTGEN LAUNCH PRESS CONFERENCE QUOTES

Eddie Hearn, Matchroom Sport Chairman:

"Good evening everyone and welcome to the National Football Museum here in Manchester. The professional debut of one of the top GB fighters, Olympian Pat Brown at Planet Ice in Altrincham on Friday March 28 - live worldwide on DAZN.

"The man to my right (Pat Brown) is going to be filling that place out. He has ordered 2,000 tickets for his professional debut. A six-round fight. Plenty of you here tonight, Pat Brown fans in the house.

"It is going to be the start of a very exacting journey. We’ve also got tremendous undercard. We saw a brilliant NXTGEN last week. We’ve got another brilliant NXTGEN card on March 28."

Pat Brown:

“The atmosphere will be electric. I'm really looking forward to it. I’m honoured to be headlining on my debut, not many fighters can do that so I'm in a really fortunate position.

“I know everyone on the undercard. I did scaffolding with Will (Crolla) on the end there. We were having our lunch brews and that in the freezing cold lifting steel tubes. Obviously Conner, we've known each other since we were kids. We had a little dingdong when we were kids as well.

"It's really nice to have everyone I know on the undercard. It's not just me, it's Manchester boxing. This is about Manchester boxing coming back which is what I’ve been dreaming of.

“I've got a good opponent with a positive record. It's not going to be someone that is just going to be tucking up. He's going to be coming and he's going to be swinging some shots. I'll show everyone what I'm about.

“When I was an amateur I’d have a few hundred come and watch me, they follow me everywhere. It’s 15 minutes from my house. Let’s get the show on the road.”

Reece Farnhill:

"Yeah I'm looking forward to it. It's my firs time on a big stage like this. It's going to be a tough fight. Neither of us are going to take a step back - it's going to be good. I know he's a tough kid. He's got plenty of experience. It's a different game this pro game. Ten rounds - should be good."

Mark Dickinson:

"This is definitely must-win for me. Obviously coming off the back of the defeat - it was a hard pill to swallow. I thought I was ready for the step-up. Obviously not. I think stepping up to Super-Middleweight will definitely suit my style. With Reece's style as well, we're both come forward and we'll meet head on. It could steal the show this fight. I think the styles should gel and it will be a tremendous fight. We'll see who takes the first backwards step."

Cameron Vuong:

“Last time I checked, it was him that pulled out. Listen Eddie, I'm just happy the fight is on. Hopefully he turns up this time. I can't wait to smash him to pieces.

"It was a great experience fighting Gavin Gwynne - nobody can take that away now. I got dragged into deep waters - I knew he would do that. He put it on us to be fair. I've been saying I've got big balls and I've got a big heart. I had to show it when I boxed Gavin Gwynne.

"I think it's a different type of fight against Jordan Flynn and I'm looking forward to smashing his face right in. I think he'll get a big shock. Hopefully he turns up - third time lucky. I cannot wait."

Jordan Flynn:

"Thank you for having me here today. I just want to say thank you to Matchroom for the opportunity of this fight happening again. It's been a long time coming. This will be third time lucky.

"I'm sorry I couldn't make it. I'm actually in LA right now - Beverly Hills - just having a nice holiday chilling out. I'm not really going to train for this fight to be honest because after seeing Cameron's last fight - it was a bit of a joke that performance.

"I wasn't impressed. He's not actually as good as I thought he was. I think there's no need for a training camp this time around. And also, to minimise the chance of an injury happening, I think it's best if we don't train.

"Cameron I suggest you do the same. I think you should just take it a bit easy. Don't train too hard. We don't want more shoulder injuries happening. No more excuses this time.

"I've had to give Cameron the opportunity again. I wasn't going to but I thought, 'you know what - we need to get justice for Gavin Gwynne. It's not fair what's happened to him with that decision last time out. Vuong - make sure you're ready. No more excuses. Let's go baby."

Rhiannon Dixon:

"The last time out against Terri Harper was my worst ever performance. I feel like I've got a point to prove now. I'm just grateful that you've got me back on a Matchroom show. I can't thank you enough. I'm excited to get back out there in front of a local crowd.

"I think we just took each opportunity as it came. The Commonwealth, European and then World Title. We couldn't say no. Obviously we're both so new to it - me coming from white collar and Anthony is a new coach. We had a lot to learn and we sat down and went through everything. It was a sad time. We're through it now and we'll be back better."

William Crolla:

"Big thanks to you and the Matchroom team for keeping me so busy. I've got a tough step up next week on the Catterall undercard. I'm looking forward to showing what I'm about. Manchester boxing is close to booming again. I'm very excited to be a part of it.

"When the city booms again they'll say my name is one of the reasons why. With the likes of Conner and Pat - there's no reason big time boxing shouldn't come back to Manchester."

Conner Tudsbury:

"I'm really excited. I couldn’t ask for a better start to my pro career, with Matchroom at one of the biggest arena's in the UK in Co-op LIVE. I can’t wait to sleep some people and see where my professional journey takes me.

“On Feb 15 and March 28 you're going to see a lot of experience, you're going to see all of the experience that I've gained from fighting all over the world. You're going to see 16 years of experience in boxing."
