LERASAN, KASSIM, MAKE WEIGHT FOR WBF 118 BELT IN TANZANIA
By Carlos Costa PhilBoxing.com Thu, 26 Dec 2024

Hard swinging Filipino warrior Adrian "Wild Beast" Lerasan (14-7, 6 KO's) and young, unbeaten Salmin Kassim (6-0-2, 4 KO's) successfully made weight Wednesday at Kassim's hometown of Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania, both fighters looking strong and ready for battle.
The two men will collide today, December 26, at Tanzania's Super Dome Arena for the vacant WBF Intercontinental Super Bantamweight Title.
The hot clash is a 10-rounder war that fans in Tanzania await with much excitement.
The undefeated, yet untested Kassim, 21, wants to shine bright against the visiting Pinoy fighter to claim is first title belt in boxing. Could he?
Kassim stepped into pro boxing in February of last year, and Lerasan is by far the most dangerous opponent he has ever faced.
Meanwhile, Lerasan, a former world-ranked boxer as well as former Asia champion, aims at scoring a thrilling international win after a setback by points two months ago in Japan.
The 25-year-old Filipino born in Rizal needs the win to keep himself competitive in international boxing. Could the southpaw Lerasan score the victory he badly wants?
Likely, the younger Ksssim has never faced a southpaw like Adrian Lerasan. Will he be able to handle his aggressive, coming-forward fighting style?
The “Wild Beast" Adrian Lerasan is being assisted in Tanzania by experienced coaches Alexis Marvin Manera Alegria and Reynaldo Inocian.
Kassim, meanwhile, is guided by Tanzania's man of boxing Anathol Wannah of Mafia Boxing.
May the Best Man Win!
