Dainier “The Fear” Pero Makes His Case for 2024 Prospect of the Year

LAS VEGAS, NV (December 15, 2024) – Dainier “The Fear” Pero (10-0, 8 KOs), the undefeated 25-year-old heavyweight breakout talent promoted by Boxlab Promotions, is making his case to be crowned 2024 Prospect of the Year. With a perfect 5-0 record in 2024, each victory coming by knockout, Pero has solidified himself as one of the most exciting and dominant rising stars in boxing. Trained by the 2022 Ring Magazine and Sports Illustrated Trainer of the Year, Bob Santos, Pero has become a force to be reckoned with in the heavyweight division.

With each fight, Pero demonstrated his devastating knockout power, amazing footwork, and tremendous ring IQ, making him a clear front-runner for 2024 Prospect of the Year. Last night, live on DAZN as part of MVP’s Most Valuable Prospects 10 card, Pero claimed the vacant WBA Continental USA Heavyweight title with an impressive TKO victory over Walter Burns (8-3, 6 KOs).

Pero’s 2024 campaign was nothing short of extraordinary. Fighting exclusively at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida, Pero delivered knockout victories over five tough opponents:

Joe Jones – 2nd Round KO on February 2
Jose Mario Tamez – 1st Round KO on April 26
James Evans – 5th Round KO on July 26
Willie Jake Jr. – 3rd Round KO on October 19
Walter Burns – 1st Round KO on December 13
