The Unified Tennis Philippines (UTP) National Team junior division will again be on the world stage as they compete in two prestigious tournaments this December. First in line is the 39th Penang Open International Juniors' Tennis Championships in Penang, Malaysia, from December 2 to 6, and then the 8th Hat Yai - PT International Junior Tennis Championships in Hat Yai, Thailand, on December 7 to 11.

Representing the Philippines are promising tennis players Val Ian Gairanod, Yuan Andre Torrente, Xian Wynn Calagos, Vincent Ethan Aguilar, Pete Rafael Bandal, Brendan Zachary Morales, Kurt Clement Barrera and Ariel Cabaral Jr. in the boys division. In the girls division, players are Ma. Caroliean Fiel, Etha Nadine Seno, Donna Mae Diamante, Cadee Jan Dagoon, Jana Jelena Nicole Diaz, Khalilah Kate Imalay, Mica Ella Emana and Maria Hannah Divinagracia.

These young tennis stars will face off against Asia’s top junior tennis talents in back-to-back tournaments. These events not only serve as platforms for competition but also opportunities for growth, allowing young players to gain invaluable experience and showcase their potential. These young players have worked hard throughout the lead-up to these tournaments with their parents and coaches guiding their way.

Jean Henri Lhuillier, President of Unified Tennis Philippines, is upbeat about the team, "Our young players have proven so dedicated and talented, and I believe they will proudly play for the Philippines, backed by passion. Attending international competitions is significant to them not only as a high-class athlete but also in the pursuit of excellence on and off the court."

Jean Henri Lhuillier also said that at UTP, they are committed to helping the next crop of Filipino tennis champions: "At UTP, we believe that our young athletes deserve the best opportunities in achieving their excellence. Supporting their participation in these international tournaments shall be a step towards building a stronger future for Philippine Tennis."

The story of the UTP National Team is an inspiration to Filipino athletes to go out there and shine in the international arena. These young athletes give one the platform to see the true face of Filipino passion, dedication, and hard work.-Marlon Bernardino -
