Mama fails to win WBO NABO fly

JAYSON “The Smasher” Mama of General Santos City failed in his bid to win the vacant WBO NABO flyweight championship on October 30 at the Coliseo Marcelo Trujillo Panisse-Humacao in Puerto Rico.
The 27-year-old Mama dropped a split decision to Juan Carlos “El Indio” Camacho of Puerto Rico.
Filipino judge Mohammad Aqui Tamano gave Mama a 96-92 but American Francis Jackson and Charlie Ruiz [Puerto Rico] scored 93-95 and 92-96, respectively in favor of Camacho.
Mama, who was accompanied by trainer Ronerex Dalut, suffered only his second setback against 20 wins with 10 knockouts while
Camacho won 18th victory with one loss and eight knockouts.
