Dainier Pero Remains Undefeated with Third-Round Knockout Against Willie Jake Jr. at Caribe Royale Resor PhilBoxing.com Sun, 20 Oct 2024  ORLANDO, FL (October 19, 2024) – Boxlab Promotions’ undefeated heavyweight prospect Dainier "The Fear" Pero (9-0, 7 KOs) delivered another impressive performance, stopping Willie Jake Jr. (11-6-3, 5 KOs) with a third-round knockout on the undercard of the Tim Tszyu vs. Bakhram Murtazaliev. The fight took place on tonight at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida, where Pero extended his unbeaten record and continued to establish himself as a rising force in the heavyweight division. From the opening bell, Pero displayed his power and precision, controlling the fight and landing heavy shots that gradually broke down Jake Jr.’s defense. Midway through the third round, a powerful right hand sent Jake Jr. to the canvas, sealing the victory for Pero in the scheduled 8-round bout. "I felt strong and focused tonight," said Pero. "I knew I could break him down with my power, and I stuck to the game plan we developed in training. (6-rounds Super bantamweights) Gary Antonio Russell (20-1, 13 KOs) defeated Jaden Burnias (6-3-2, 4 KOs) by knockout at the 1:11 mark if round 4. (4-rounds Welterweights) Mikey Garica (4-1, 3 KOs) defeated Carlos Aguilera (13-25, 6 KOs) by unanimous decision. Aguilera dropped in 2 with an overhand right and round 3 with a right hook to the head. Scorecards read 40-34 by all judges in favor for Garcia. (8-rounds Super Bantamweights) Ryan Lee Allen (11-8-1, 6 KOs) scored a major upset defeating Carlos Jackson (20-2, 13 KOs) by TKO at the 2:37 mark of round 4. (6-rounds Super Middleweights) Daniel Blancas (11-0, 5 KOs) defeated Marco Delgado (7-6-1, 5 KOs) by unanimous decision. Blancas dropped in round 6 with an overhand right. Scorecards read 59-55 across the board for Blancas.  |
