THURSDAY: Alexandre Gaumont-Andres Viera Middleweight Battle to Stream LIVE in the U.S. on ESPN+

PhilBoxing.com

Streaming action from Gatineau, Canada, begins at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT

(Oct. 15, 2024) — Middleweight contender Alexandre Gaumont will lock horns with Uruguay’s Andres Viera in the eight-round main event this Thursday, Oct. 17, at Casino Lac-Leamy in Gatineau, Canada.

In the 10-round junior welterweight co-feature, Arthur Biyarslanov will take on 57-fight veteran Jonathan Jose Eniz.

Promoted by Eye of The Tiger, Gaumont-Viera, Biyarslanov-Eniz, and undercard bouts will stream live and exclusively in the U.S. on ESPN+ starting at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT.

Gaumont (11-0, 7 KOs) will headline in his hometown for the first time. After a brief amateur career, the 29-year-old entered the paid ranks with a four-round decision over Mikhail Miller in May 2021. His 2024 campaign opened with a second-round TKO of Abdallah Luanja in May, followed by an eight-round split decision win over Santiago Fernandez less than four weeks later. Viera (12-8, 9 KOs) enters the contest after a third-round TKO of Roberto Javier Diaz in August.

Biyarslanov (16-0, 14 KOs) moved to Canada as a child and competed for his adopted homeland at the 2016 Olympics. He’s stopped his last eight opponents in four rounds or less. In June, he captured the vacant NABF title with a fourth-round KO of Elias Mauricio Haedo and notched a third-round TKO of Tamas Kiliti in September. Eniz (35-20-1, 16 KOs), from Dolores, Buenos Aires, Argentina, scored a 10-round points victory over Sergio Donaire in his hometown last month.

In other streaming action from Gatineau:

Steve Claggett (38-8-2, 26 KOs) vs. Eduardo Estela (16-3, 11 KOs), 10 Rounds, Junior Welterweights

Mehmet Unal (10-0, 8 KOs) vs. Armenak Hovhannisyan (14-4-1, 6 KOs), 10 Rounds, Light Heavyweights

Luis Santana (12-0, 6 KOs) vs. Sebastian Ezequiel Aguirre (19-5, 12 KOs), 8 Rounds, Lightweights

Shamil Khataev (12-0-1, 3 KOs) vs. Cristian Rafael Coria (30-10-2, 14 KOs), 10 Rounds, Middleweights
