The 8th Speed-Chess IIEE-Bayanihan Knockout Armageddon Tournament (SIKAT) will go to Pakil, Laguna on November 9, 2024. This event is made possible by 2020 IIEE National President Rod Pecolera, taking root of his family from the said town, where he intends to share his expertise and engineering services.

"Playing chess is the right one direction for all the youngster and all commoners in the community of Pakil," says Engr. Pecolera. The SIKAT previous edition champions includes FM Noel Dela Cruz, FM Christian Gian Karlo Arca, NM Marlon Bernardino, Kevin Arquero and Sherwin Tiu. The SIKAT champions (in winner bracket) together with Runner Ups (in loser bracket) will meet again in the Armageddon Battle of Champions (ABC) during the Philippine Sports Expo to be held in SMX MOA on November 28-30 during the 49th IIEE National Convention.

A 20-board simultaneous chess will be done by new GM Daniel Quizon and another simultaneous sets for recent Laos Champion U.S National Master Almario Marlon Quiroz Bernardino Jr.

Actor Jao Mapa will also play one-on-one versus President Rodrigo Pecolera who is also being called as Direk Rowell having a resemblance to Actor Rowell Santiago who plays Pangulo in "Ang Probinsyano".
