By Lito delos Reyes PhilBoxing.com Fri, 27 Sep 2024

JAYSON “Striker” Vayson retained his Asian Boxing Federation [ABF] flyweight title by knocking out Indian Shanborlang Marbaniang last September 26, Thursday at the Spaceplus Bangkok RCA in Bangkok, Thailand.
The 26-year-old Vayson landed a powerful right on the chin of Marbaniang in the 9th round.
Vayson of Veruela, Agusan del Sur now has 13 wins with one loss, one draw with seventh knockout.
He also kept his WBO Asian Pacific light flyweight title by beating Takeru Inoue last April 21, 2024 in Sumiyoshi Ward Center in Osaka, Japan.
Vayson is also the current World Boxing Organization [WBO] Asia Pacific light flyweight champion and is rated the WBO no. 5 contender.
He is also ranked number 3 contender by the International Boxing Federation and no. 8 by the World Boxing Association.
Meanwhile, three Filipino fighters MJ “Young Gun” Uduna, Jesse “Little Giant” Espinas and Reymart Soledad ended in separate ways.
Uduna of La Trinidad, Benguet stopped Mahoi Sabetali of Iran in the 1st round while Espinas of Misamis Occidental scored a 2nd round knockout over Adisak Ketpiam of Thailand.
The undefeated Soledad, on the other hand, had an accidental head clash in Round 1 which rendered Wanphichit unable to continue fighting.
The fight was declared a no decision.
The "Rise of Champion" boxing event was promoted by Supanat Chanram and Brico Santig of the Highland Boxing Team.
