Espinas, Vayson, Uduna Stop Opponents in Highland Show in Bangkok; Soledad Dominant (PHOTOS) By Carlos Costa PhilBoxing.com Fri, 27 Sep 2024 Espinas (R) and Ketpiam in action in Thailand Sep. 26, 2024. BANGKOK, Thailand – In thrilling action, Filipinos Jesse Espinas, Jayson Vayson and John Michael Uduna overpowered and stopped their foes, claiming knockout wins Thursday, September 26 at the SpacePlus Club in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand. Well-trained and more experienced Jesse Espinas (22-7, 13 KOs) of Oroquieta, Misamis Occidental, came out victorious, dropping and stopping Adisak Ketpiam (8-16-1, 7 KOs) in two frames of action in the light flyweight division. Michael Uduna wins. Also, Lightweight "Young Gun" John Michael Uduna (9-3-2, 5 KOs) of Benguet quickly rocked, dropped, and halted Mahdi Sabetali of Iran for a non-title round one TKO win. Uduna decked Mahdi two harsh times until referee Kris Sanjade saw enough. REYMART SOLEDAD SEEMS TO DESERVE HIS WIN AS WELL Rookie welterweight Reymart Soledad (2-0, 0 KOs) of Angono, Rizal, saw action in the event, but his foe's antics did not suit well. The taller, younger Soledad was quickly, clearly, and easily outclassing, dominating, and damaging his tricky veteran foe Wanphichit Siriphana when a light non-intentional clash of heads occurred due to Wanphichit's messy and unorthodox fighting style of attacking head first. After the clash, Wanphichit claimed that he was hurt and unable to continue, even though the minor clash did not appear severe one at all. Visibly, the clash did not produce any blood. Initially, the result was declared a "no-contest," however, a complaint was been filed by the Filipino camp as the fight video seems to indicate that Wanphichit had used that light clash of heads as an excuse to abandon the fight. Wanphichit was obviously not wanting to continue battling the faster Pinoy. A result of the complaint is pending. Jayson Vayson wins. In the main event, world-ranked Jayson Vayson (13-1-1, 7 KOs) of Veruela, Agusan del Sur, stopped strong, big-heart Indian fighter Shanborlang Marbaniang (5-3-2, 3 KOs) in nine chapters of blow-by-blow action to claim the vacant ABF Light Flyweight Belt. Venas Sit Chansing wins. In girls' action, cute Thai fighter Venas Sit Chansing scored a unanimous decision win, gardening many more fans in each fight.
