Phnom Penh, Cambodia - Former two-division unified world champion Marlon Tapales(38-4) is set to step into the ring at the Olympic stadium in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on September 7 to defend his WBC Asia Super Bantamweight title against Indian boxer Saurabh Kumar (11-1).
Tapales, ranked as the world number 2 in the WBC, number 3 in the IBF, and number 4 in the WBA, stands as one of the most top contenders in the super bantamweight division. His upcoming fight against Saurabh Kumar will keep him sharp and ready as he anticipates a shot at a world title within the next year.
