Eric Mondragon and Kevin Piedrahita Puerta Meet in Crossroad Bout on CBN Promotions Card this Saturday

LONG BEACH, CA (June 19, 2024) – CBN Promotions proudly presents a crossroads fight between Eric Mondragon (9-1-1, 4 KOs) from Maywood, California, and Kevin Piedrahita Puerta (9-1, 8 KOs) from Pereira, Colombia. Mondragon vs. Puerta, a 6-round bout, will serve as the co-main event to the 8-round lightweight main event featuring undefeated Tayden Beltran (8-0-1, 4 KOs) against the seasoned Cesar Villarraga (10-9-1, 5 KOs). The event will take place at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California, this Saturday, June 22, 2024.

Eric Mondragon, known for his high ring IQ and gritty style, is eager to showcase his skills and climb the ranks. A victory will ensure bigger fights against top level competitors.

"This fight is a pivotal moment for me," said Mondragon. "I'm prepared to demonstrate that I belong among the elite in the super featherweight division, and I will do whatever it takes to come out on top. A win on Saturday will be a significant step forward in my career. I had a great training camp and I’ll be ready to go.”

Kevin Piedrahita Puerta, a knockout artist with an impressive record, is equally determined. He’s been training in Las Vegas, sparring some of the best fighters in boxing. He’s ready to win this fight and climb up the rankings.

"I've trained hard for this fight," Puerta stated. "Victory is the only option. Beating Mondragon will put me on the map and open doors for bigger opportunities. I'm here to make a statement and show the world that I’m a better fighter now, after suffering my first defeat."

The evening promises high stakes and intense action, with both fighters recognizing the importance of this crossroads bout for their professional futures.
