The evening’s main event featured an action-packed bout between Cincinnati, OH’s Adrien Broner (35-5-1, 24 KOs) and Las Vegas’ Blair Cobbs (17-1-1, 10 KOs). Scoring a knockdown in the second round, Cobbs displayed his power and speed to emerge victorious via unanimous decision winning the WBC People’s Championship. The co-main event saw a clash between Las Vegas’ Michael Hunter (22-1-2, 15 KOs) and New London, CT’s Cassius Chaney (23-2, 16 KOs) for the vacant WBA Interim Heavyweight Title, with Hunter securing the victory via unanimous decision.
