Bagundol wins 1st Gov. Pacquiao Natl. Fishing tourney

GLAN, Sarangani – Angler Rogelio Bagundol and boatman Emmanuel Infiesto emerged champion in the first Governor Rogelio D. Pacquiao National Fishing tournament from May 25 to 26 at the Pacquiao Beach Resort in Maasim.
The awarding was held last May 26 at Reyes Beach in Gumasa, Glan.
Bagundol and Infiesto caught a Dog Tooth Tuna that weighed 19kg. to win P300,000 and a trophy.
They outweigh nine other fishers coming from Mindanao and Visayas.
Kim Luis Alcala and Kaki Palahuddin also fished a Dog Tooth Tuna for 15.9 kgs. to place 1st runner-up and won P150,000.
Second runner-up was Leif Jill Colegado and Sukri Talim [14.65kgs] for P100,000.

4th - Keavin Ruiz /Crestian Tano [8.50kg-P30,000]
5th - Rene Lutching /Jover Rodemio [7.60k-P30,000]
6th - Ronald Velasco /Lyndron Plibungso [6.62kg-P30,000]
7th - Roy Jabonan /Norvan Jololli [6.42kg-P20,000]
8th - Israel Shane Gerada /Johal Nani [5.95kg-P20,000]
9th - Jonathan Cruz /Bahari Omar [5.83kg-P20,000]
10th runner-up Joseph Palanca /Ote Bandahola [4.81kg.-P10,000]
The special awards were:
Longest Catch - Reynaldo Sta. Maria;
Unique Catch - Reyvee Sengseng;
Most Accumulated Catch- Nekharl Dimalig;
Catch and Release - Anjo Better.
The fishing event was part of the 2024 SarBay Festival sporting activities.
