RYAN GARCIA'S UNDERDOG CHANCES By Anthony 'Duljoman' Andales PhilBoxing.com Sat, 20 Apr 2024 SOUTH CAROLINA – Ryan “KingRy” Garcia, the kid from Victorville, California, will be the live underdog on Saturday evening against former 135 lbs. undisputed champion, the Hakeem “THE Dream” Olajuwon of Boxing, Devin “the Dream” Haney. As of press time, Haney is -910 (meaning your $910 will win $100 if you bet for Haney), and Garcia is +550 (meaning your $100 will win $550 if you put your money on Garcia). If we just look at these numbers, it looks like Haney is fighting against a nobody. Like Garcia has a very tiny, slim chance to win this fight. Maybe true, maybe not. Physically, this match is 50/50: both 5’8” and both are 25 years old. Reach is almost similar too, Haney at 71” and Ryan at 70”. Body type-wise, both are slender, with a Scottie Pippen type build. If I base it on these stats, there’s no way I’m going to give -$910 for Haney. Physically, it should be +100 for both. In the amateur arena, they met 6 times, splitting 3-3. Mentally, rightly or wrongly, many will say Haney is saner. Garcia, with over 10,000,000 Instagram followers and almost 500K Twitter followers, is very active on social media. He has posted some weird ones like announcing that he’s divorcing his wife and the birth of their second baby almost at the same time. Garcia also tweeted challenging Jake Paul and swearing to end Jake’s boxing career, instead of focusing on the Haney fight. Garcia also claims 'the elites' tied him up in the woods and forced him to watch little kids getting raped. "Bohemian Grove is real." And he also posted the 666 symbol and then deleted it after a few minutes. Ryan hit PRIME drink owned by Logan, claiming it is the devil’s drink and whatnot. But the weirdest one was when he posted that "SOMETHING BAD IS GOING TO HAPPEN IN BALTIMORE MARYLAND ON MARCH 26TH 2024." Unluckily, on March 26, a cargo ship lost control and crashed into the column of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland, triggering the bridge to collapse. The tweet was deleted; some people, including this writer, questioned the legitimacy of the prediction tweet. Considering all the unusuals of Ryan Garcia, he is praising Jesus, his savior, the King of Kings, every time he gets a chance. Like, for example, at their last press conference, he just kept repeating THANK YOU JESUS 12 times as his opening remarks. For me, this will be his biggest armory come Saturday night, his faith in the true God. Now let’s scrutinize Ryan’s chances against the elite, former undisputed champ Devin Haney. Observers, experts, oddsmakers might count Ryan out, but not me, nah not me. I am putting my hard-earned money on KingRy. Let me give you a few factors: Haney is not a KO artist; he is a finesse and super intelligent fighter, but he is not as strong as Tank Davis, noR Muslim Abdul Wahid. Haney doesn’t have that one-punch mighty power in his arsenal. In this regard, Ryan can detonate his bombs with full balanced force with little danger of being countered. If Ryan gets bored, he could just attack and attack, knowing there is no Abdul Wahid-like power coming against him. Haney has KO'd 15 of his 31 opponents, that is only a 48% KO efficiency. While Ryan Garcia has put 20 of his 24 foes to sleep, an 83% KO efficiency. This is what I’m telling you guys, Ryan is way ahead in the power department. Do you remember Jorge Linares? The former Manny Pacquiao chief sparring partner and the former lightweight world champion, Jorge is like a mimic of Ryan Garcia, build and stance, and has a very graceful left hook and right straight. But the difference is Ryan’s are faster and stronger. When Jorge Linares fought Haney, who was saved by the bell? It was Haney who was saved by the Bell; he got caught with a one-two combination and got wobbled, chicken danced, and luckily the bell rang. I asked myself, if Garcia’s antics and weird demeanor coming to this fight, penetrated Haney’s head, I think it did, as Haney slapped Ryan in one of their press conferences, very un-Devin Haney, unusual for him. If Haney absorbed all of Ryan’s weird talks and social media posts and makes him want to slug it out with Ryan, I bet you not, Ryan will make Haney his 21st KO victim. Mark my words. Again, mark my words, Ryan will knock out Devin in the middle rounds. If Haney decides to brawl. Can you imagine if that was Ryan instead of Linares connecting left straight on Haney? I don’t care if that bell rings; Haney is going down. Lastly, Ryan Garcia is very good when he knows he’s stronger than his opponents. Also, this is very important, Ryan is doing a Mayweather, showing up 3 lbs over in the weigh-in… he doesn’t care if he shook hands for the $500K per lb over, what matters is he’s bigger and stronger come fight night. Mayweather is counseling Ryan by the way going into this fight. You guys connecting the dots here? OH!BEERTIME! Caitlin Clark the savior of WNBA. On average, NCCAW FINAL FOUR viewers is around 2M max… but with Caitlin the GOAT of women’s college basketball viewers skyrockets up to 15M on the recent final four… she will bring this to WNBA, and thankfully she landed on my beloved favorite basketball state Indiana, the Indiana Fever! CAITLIN CLARK she salute and stand for the American National Anthem, the all time scoring leader and face of women’s college basketball… Golden State Warriors are eliminated, for me they should disband, they had a good run, but Green is too much distraction and Klay should go to Florida, either Miami or Orlando…now that they’re eliminated they can go to the WHITE HOUSE any time they like, good for them, btw Denver the reigning NBA champion didn’t go to the white house, they know better…. Lakers the most gifted free throws in the league, pampered by the NBA natl bs ass (THANK YOU REFS!) will rematch with the Nuggets, Lakers was swept last year but I think they will win 1 game, 2 the most just because LAKERS have 3 NUMBER ONE PICKS in their roster and Denver only relied on 41st draft Nikola Jokic and nobody Jamal Murray, plus the refs are stepping up too… according to google check this out “The Lakers finished this season with 1,983 free-throw attempts. Opponents shot 1,476 free throws against the Lakers—a total of 507 fewer than Los Angeles, which was by far the biggest differential in the NBA.”… my Indiana Pacers will sweep the ailing Bucks, the curse of former coach Adrian Griffin the mentee of current coach Glenn Rivers… MVP should be Jokic, Luka can have it next year. Most defensive and Rookie of the year should be Wembanyama… First team: JOKIC, BANCHERO, LUKA, TATUM, SHAI… NBA CHAMPION NUGGETS BACK TO BACK CHAMPION BEATING MY INDIANA PACERS VIA RUBBER MATCH 7TH GAME.
