Tsutsumi KOs former WBA super champion "Chemito" Moreno in Japan (Video)

24-year-old Japanese prospect Hayato Tsutsumi (5-0, 2 KOs) had a surprising victory by beating Panamanian former world champion Anselmo “Chemito” Moreno (43-7-1, 15 KOs) by knockout in the third round in the main event held at the legendary Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan Wednesday.
Although there was information of a certain situation in Tsutsumi's weight for a difference of almost three and a half pounds at the official weigh-in on Tuesday, the fight was held with a clause of a second weigh-in, on the day of the fight, which according to what is known, did not allow him to exceed the agreed weight by 10 pounds in the 126-pound category and it was finally known that he weighed 124 pounds.
Tsutsumi was the 4/5 favorite for a decision win while he was 8/11 for a knockout win.
Tsutsumi was Japan's IBA Junior World Champion and two-time ASBC Asian Junior Champion. He suffered serious hand injuries in December 2018 during the Japan National Boxing Championships. He was a leading Olympic Boxing representative from Asia and Oceania.
Hayato has two younger brothers who are also boxers: Ryunosuke and Reito.
Former super world champion "Chemito" Moreno along with his wife Rouse Laguna Moreno are successful businessmen in Panama and frequently hold professional boxing events in their company Laguna Premier Boxing.
Moreno had a long reign at bantamweight between 2008 and 2014 and has had 17 world championship fights between bantamweight and super bantamweight.
