Lhuillier supports AJ Lim's Tennis Comeback

PhilBoxing.com

Jean Henri Lhuillier welcomed AJ Lim to the Cebuana Lhuillier Sports family as one of their ambassadors. This is a welcome and badly needed support to AJ Lim, a former junior standout, in his comeback trail.

AJ Lim was a former world number 12 in the junior's division and boasts of beating Stefanos Tsitsipas, former World’s number 3 in the Men’s Division in a Double’s competition of the Orange Bowl and had intense three-set battles with current men’s top players such as Felix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov.

He had to focus on his studies especially during the pandemic but he's now on the comeback trail since last year and is the current PCA Open's champion. Now, he's setting his sights on getting his name back on the international level and this support from Cebuana Lhuillier and its President and CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier is a strong boost to his aspirations.

"I am so happy and I would like to thank Cebuana Lhuillier and Sir Jean Henri for coming to my aid and I promise to give my best to not waste this opportunity," shares AJ Lim.

Lhuillier, together with his friends in the local tennis circuit, are mapping out a training program for AJ, consisting of not only coaching and hitting sessions but also providing him access to mental, psychological, and nutrition coaches.

"I always believe that our young talents have what it takes to become world-class players, given the right support and exposure. CL and I will be here for him in his quest to climb the world rankings," says Jean Henri Lhuillier.

Lim will be participating in three top local tournaments in the next few months and in two ITF tournaments in South Korea in June. He is also eyeing to compete in six more international tournaments in the second half of the year with the goal of earning ITF world ranking points.

The goal is for him to make it to the top 1000 this year and eventually in the top 250 within the next few years and hopefully to get the opportunity to play in Grand Slam tournaments.-Marlon Bernardino-
