The 31-year-old Bechina will face unbeaten Marielle "The Hyper" Castillano, 18, of Tagum City.

“I came here specifically for training because I know in the Philippines I can get the best training to turn pro,” said Bechina, who plans to turn professional this year.

Her amateur record is five wins with no defeat in the 49 kilograms.

“I have been approached by promoters so maybe here or in Thailand or in Singapore where I live right now,” said Bechina.

She is a tech entrepreneur and has a company in Singapore. Bechina has been training at Evolve MMA in Singapore which is the biggest martial arts gym in Asia

She came here for a training camp at Elorde Davao Gym.

“I didn’t train specifically for that fight but I’m always ready to go in the ring,” added Bechina,

Coach Axcidos Lolibay, who is training her right now will be in her corner for this fight.

“I don’t know anything about her, it doesn't matter. I am just super excited to fight, be in the ring, do my dance, show my skills and my love for boxing,” said Bechina.

Bechina earlier had another opponent who is 55 kilogram but she pulled out for unknown reasons.

She will now fight Castillano, who is handled by coach Jumong Jojet Cifra Baliente under Batang Pantukan JJA MMA Muay Thai.

Castillano. who stands 5 feet and 4 inches and weighs 50 kilograms, has a record of one win in boxing and two wins in MMA.

Bechina recently sparred with reigning Japanese Boxing Commission minimum champion Marina Loreto of Kobe at the Elorde Davao Gym.
