Lerasan, Taimoor, Ruf, Auraiwan Make Weight for Highland Show at SpacePlus Bangkok By Carlos Costa PhilBoxing.com Wed, 26 Jul 2023 BANGKOK, Thailand -- Filipino bantamweight Adrian Lerasan made 55.6 kilos, while 23-year-old India boxer Sidhant Lakhera scaled-in at 55.3 ahead of their 6-round non-title Highland Boxing Promotion battle at the plush SpacePlus Night Club, RCA Plaza in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand. After his unexpected knockout loss last March in South Africa, the hard-hitting Lerasan, 24, needs to score a thrilling win over Sidhant to get him back into the winning column. Could he do it? Instantly after making weight, Adrian and Sidhant embrace showing friendliness and sportsmanship. In the show's main event, undefeated 22-year-old Ashish Bhandor (L) of India came in at 92 kilos, while the smiling, hard-hitting tough boy Aekkaphob Auraiwan (5-1, 5 KO's) of Thailand scaled-in at 106.3 pounds for their 10-round clash for the vacant ABF Continental Heavyweight Title. Also in heavyweights, unbeaten Marvin Ruf of Islas Canarias in Spain (L) weighed-in at 92.8 kilos, while Thailand’s bigger more-experienced warrior Prakop Chinram came heavier at 104.6. In another heavyweight clash, Pakistan's Taimoor Khan "The Diamond Boy" (8-0, 7 KO's) came-in at 103.5 kilos for his non-title, stay-busy 6-rounder fight. The clash is in preparation for Taimoor's next battle set for August 26 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Also in the show, hard-hitting Afghanistan warrior Ahmad Samir Dawrani (9-3-1, 5 KO's) made 71.5 kilos, while serious man of action Banpot Khaoiam of Thailand made 83.6 kilos. Despite the difference in weight, the clash has been approved to go ahead. Moreover, Hong Kong fighting woman Chan Hin Ting came at 48.4 kilos for her war against Nongprim Samkok, who scaled-in at 47.7 kg. In another girls fight, Thailand's Pakayrat (1-0) of the Highland Boxing Gym fights Ploymanee (3-1) of the Singmanasak Gym in a six-chapter saga in the bantamweight division. What's more, China's Qiang Liao makes his pro debut against Pobtham Julla (1-2) of Thailand in a 6-rounder fight in super featherweights. Another Chinese fighter set to make his boxing debut is Zhang Yihao, ready to climb up the hot Highland Boxing Gym ring for a first time as a pro swinging hard blows against Nattapol Attachak (1-1) of Thailand. Will Zhang Yihao succeed in his first malee? Finally, in the 10th bout of the evening, tall Singaporean super middleweight boxer Kittipong Jian Hao Ho (4-1-1) collides hard against Famai of Thailand's Singmanasak Boxing Gym. Kittipong came-in at 78.1 kilos, while Famai recorded a bit heavier at 79.7 kgs. The action show will be televised live in Thailand, although fans outside the Kingdom may watch online for free from the YouTube channel and Facebook page of Highland Boxing Promotions. The exciting international show July 27 in Bangkok, Thailand is a production of Thailand man of boxing Supanat Chanram in association with award-winning Filipino promoter/matchmaker Brico Santig and Night Club entrepreneur Tony Chen.
