Shimizu Challenges Ramirez of Cuba for WBO 126 World Tuesday in Tokyo

Japanese "KO Artist" Satoshi Shimizu 清水聡 (11-1, 10 KO's) of Yokohama will embark in the most important undertaking of his life when he challenges reigning, defending WBO Featherweight World Champion Robeisy “El Tren” (The Train) Ramírez (12-1, 7 KO's) of Cienfuegos, Cuba, this coming Tuesday, July 25, at the Ariake Sports Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

Stakes could not be higher for the two southpaws, Shimizu and Ramirez, with winner going on for more hot, high-profile battles.

Will the taller veteran, 37-year-old Shimizu (on the right) deliver the most important KO of is life, in his own home country of Japan, in front of his family and fans?

In doing so, will the much taller Shimizu try to use his height, reach, speed and unquestionable power to keep the Cuban Ramirez at bay, landing on him with his solid trade-mark straight left, followed by ravaging combinations, forcing the referee stoppage for a TKO triumph?

Or will the shorter, visiting 29-year-old Cuban world champion be the successful one, by finding his way inside into Shimizu's guard, avoiding the Japanese's long and tormenting jab and away from his lethal lefts, while pressing the battle into close blow-by-blow combat, finding his way into victory with relentless pressure for a fantastic defense of his brown & golden strap?

The interesting "Robeisy Ramirez vs Satoshi Shimizu" battle will happen right before the one of "Stephen Fulton vs Monster Naoya Inoue" WBO/WBC Super Bantam World Title War.

The thrilling Inoue - a 3-division world champion - wants to beat the unbeaten Fulton to become 4-division world champion. Can he do it?



Also in the show, Pinoy warrior Ronnie "Lindol" Baldonado of Mindanao's Cobatato del Norte has his golden chance in this exciting show when he clashes against unbeaten 6-0 double WBC/IBF world-ranked Super Bantamweight Yoshiki Takei of Yokohama, Japan.

The hot event Tuesday, July 25, in Tokyo is organized by Hideyuki Ohashi.
