Anuchai Beats Sueno to the Punch, Claims IBF Australasian 118 Belt in Thailand

PhilBoxing.com

RANGSIT, Thailand -- In a clash of boxing styles, more-skilled Anuchai Donsua of Thailand dropped and overwhelmed wild warrior Ricardo Sueno over ten rounds of action to conquer the vacant red & golden IBF Australasia Bantamweight Belt Wednesday evening, July 19, at the Rangsit Boxing Stadium in Prathum Thani, Kingdom of Thailand.

From the sound of the first bell, the far more-talented Anuchai Donsua (11-0, 3 KO's) of Mahasarakam in Northestearn Thailand made perfect use of his superior fighting skills and orthodoxy to dominate and outbox the charging-forward Pinoy fighter for a very wide, well-deserved unanimous decision win.

More-organized and effective throughout, Anuchai Donsuai boxed his way into victory relying on his educated jab, slick moves, accurate combinations and speed, although with a seemingly some-what lack of devastating power.

Still, the Phetchyindee boxer rocked down the Filipino Ricardo Sueno to the canvas with a well-placed combination that visibly staggered the strong fighting bull from the Land of boxing king Manny Pacquiao.

That very event triggered a then-frustrated Sueno (12-8-4, 5 KO's) to react wildly, charging head-first in search of a retaliation and a revenge that never came.

Instead, forceful clinches, as well as headbutts were produced, which opened a small cut on the composed and collected Anuchai, the dominating warrior who never lost control of the battle.

Instead, Sueno's unorthodoxy and insistence on punching after the third man has already said "stop," cost him deductions.

The experienced Thai referee Sanong Uomim of Hua Hin was forced to deduct points on Sueno, a young man with a laudable, indomitable fighting spirit, however, with a lack of boxing technique and finesse.

Indeed, Sanong was so close to disqualifying Sueno, sending him to the shower rooms ahead of time. Thankfully that did not happen, probably rewarding the Filipino for his relentless effort.

As a result, official scores were 99-88, 100-87 and 98-89 all in favor of Anuchai who became the very first IBF titlist crowned by Thailand's legendary Petchyindee Boxing Promotions company.

Born in Thailand's beautiful northeastern region of Isan, bordering the mighty Mekong River, the 26-year-old new IBF Australasian champion Anuchai Donsua is trained by well-respected coach former world champion Chatchai Sasakul, looking en-route to more successes in the hot bantamweight division.

The IBF Supervisor for Petchyindee's historic fight was Mr. Ben Keilty of Perth, Western Australia.

The televised promotion was a production of Petchyindee Boxing Promotions (a.k.a. Diamond Promotions), live on True4U TV Channel 24.
