Boxer Kenneth Egano passes away By Lito delos Reyes PhilBoxing.com Thu, 11 May 2023 Kenneth Egano. BOXER Kenneth Egano, who collapsed in his corner during the announcement of the bout result last May 6 had passed away in the hospital yesterday. Egano, an orthodox boxer from General Santos City, won that fight against undefeated Jason Facularin of Davao City by unanimous decision at the Imus Sports Gymnasium in Imus He was just 22 years old and had a record of seven wins with one loss and three knockouts. Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) president Dante Almario had received the sad news on his Facebook. “Just a few minutes later, our boxer Kenneth Egano passed away,” said Almario. “May you rest in peace Kenneth. Your memory will forever remember in Phil boxing history. In behalf of Phil Boxing Federation (PBF), taos puso po kaming nakikiramay sa buong pamilya ng ating magiting na mandirigma,” said Almario, who was able to gather almost P60,000 from cash and pledges. There were many messages on Facebook from the boxing society regarding Egano’s death.
