Phoobadin, Yuttapong Retain WBA Asia Belts in Thailand

BANGKOK, Thailand — Wearing his traditional Keffiyeh, Thailand’s unbeaten world-ranked 140-pounder Phoobadin Yoohanngoh (16-0, 9 KO's), retained for the 6th time his WBA ASIA super lightweight title with a unanimous decision win over tough Vanlalawmpuia (6-2-1, 4 KO’s) of India on Saturday, February 4, at the plush Spaceplus Night Club Bangkok, live in Thailand on Workpoint TV Channel 23.

Yuttapong Tongdee wins over F. Zoramchhana.

In the co-feature, undefeated 29-year-old Thailand titlist Yuttapong Tongdee (10-0, 5 KO's), scored a unanimous decision victory over tough challenger F. Zoramchhana (4-3, 0 KO’s), to keep for a 2nd time his WBA Asia Bantamweight Strap. The referee in charge was WBA’s veteran third man Pinit Prayadsab. Official scores were 99-91 (twice), and 97-93.

Also, in a non-title supporting bout, India’s young bantamweight warrior Laldinsanga (3-0, 3 KO's), stopped Kwanchai Pliankhunthod (5-6, 5 KO's) of Thailand for a round 3 TKO win.

In attendance during the event was legendary Thai boxing promoter Niwat Laosuwanwat.

The exciting show was produced by Terry Laosuwanwat of The Fighter Thailand Promotion in association with Devraj Das of India’s top boxing outfit Marine Pro Boxing Promotions and Skyview Hotel Bangkok.
