THE Sealcor Kingfighers basketball team of Davao City is now ready to play in the Batang Pilipino Basketball League (BPBL) Tournament Level 2 Davao Regional Finals on November 5 and 6 at the Gaisano Skygym in Ilustre Street.
BPBL Davao Regional Finals will also be participated by Digos City, Davao Oriental, Gov. Generoso of Davao Oriental, Nabunturan and Panabo City.
“Were good, I think it's ready. The team has been joining for four months. It’s our last practice tomorrow (Nov. 4),” said Sealcor head coach Jigger Saniel.
The players are Jim Aaron Lulab, Shem Joshua Bayate, Jesus Montecalvo III, John Cedric Taray, Alexader Senastian Decin, John Benedict Young, Juvel Dayanan, Keith Francis Marquez, Leeshane Frouze Constantino, Brehmer Penano, Peter Kofl Adabo, John Eimrod Rodulfa, Sefh Jason Albeindo, Junel Balansag and Xyrhone Lawrence Ambuat.
Sealcor’s coaching staff are ex-PBA cager Pong Escobal, Rolly Sancho and Tristan Balino.
“Actually we don't have any scouts in the other teams. So what we are doing is to polish only,” said Saniel.
Saniel said that every participating team is a national contender.
“Since we entered regionals for sure all teams have the right to go national,” said Saniel.
BPBL National Commissioner Ron Camara of Ateneo de Manila University is the guest of honor.
Also expected in the 18 Under BPBL are Regional Commissioner Cholo Elegino and Billy Cruzada of Samahang Basketbolista ng Pilipinas.
“We are inviting everyone to watch and witness the most exciting part of BPBL Davao Region. Admission is free,” said BPBL Davao Commissioner Rael Diaz.
