NBA Daily: Last Season’s Finalists Celtics and Warriors Score Opening Night Wins By Reylan Loberternos PhilBoxing.com Wed, 19 Oct 2022 Boston Celtics 126- Philadelphia 76ers 117 The Boston Celtics beat their conference rivals Philadelphia 76ers 126-117 on opening night at the TD Garden Arena in Boston, Massachusetts, home of the Celtics. The dynamic duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown scored 35 points each for the defending Eastern Conference Champions. Two-time league MVP Stephen Curry topscored for the warriors with 33 points, including 4 from deep, 6 boards, 7 dimes, 4 steals, and a blocked shot. He was also spotless in nine attempts from the freethrow line. Andrew Wiggins, fresh off signing a contract extension, scored 20 points, including 4 from beyond the arc.
