Piala brothers to see action on May 21
By Lito delos Reyes PhilBoxing.com Sat, 14 May 2022

THE undefeated Piala brothers – Rodex and Brix – will both see action on May 21 at the Bonifacio R. Bacaltos Sport and Cultural Center in Sibonga, Cebu.
It will be the third time that the Pialas will fight under one card.
“I’m still 126 pounds, we sometimes look for an opponent at another gym,” said the elder Rodex Piala.
The 27-year-old Piala, whose nickname is “War Machine”, will be fighting against Alan Alberca of Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte in the 10-round main supporting bout.
It will be the first 10-rounder for Rodex, who has four wins.
Rodex recently beat Rhonvex Capoloy of Ozamiz City by unanimous decision last March 19, 2022 at the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club in Cebu City.
Alberca, on the other hand, lost to Jeo Santisima by a technical knockout in the 1st round last July 16, 2021 in Talisay City.
The 25-year-old Alberca has 11 wins, five loses and six knockouts.
Meanwhile, Bryan Piala will still have to look for an opponent in the undercard.
The 20-year old Piala scored a unanimous decision against Julbirth Tubiano last March 19, 2022 in Cebu.
The coaches of the Pialas are former boxers Eldo, Edgar and Joseph Cortez.
Eva Marie Arquisola is the promoter of the boxing event.
