Benn Brutalizes Algieri, Knocks him Out in 4
By Carlos Costa PhilBoxing.com Tue, 14 Dec 2021

Promising unbeaten Briton Conor Benn successfully defended his WBA Continental 147 lbs strap by pulverizing former Manny Pacquiao opponent, Chris Algieri, in 4 chapters Saturday in Liverpool.
During that fourth round, Benn made a quick move forward to get in range of Algieri, fired a strong, accurate left jab followed by a deadly straight right to his chin.... BAM!!!! which sent the American fighter to another dimension, crashing down face-first to the blue canvas as in slow motion.
The referee Bob Williams did not even bother to count as the knockout was brutal.
Algieri had to be immediately assisted by the ring doctor, while fans in attendance held their breath, waiting for Algieri to get back on his feet, which he eventually did, thanks goodness.
The official time for the lethal stoppage was 2:58 minutes in the 4th stanza; and this one could be a candidate for KO of the year.
If you have time, watch the video of Conor Benn knocking out Algieri on DAZN’s YouTube channel to a see what think of this rising-star..
Because maybe in the future this talented British 147-pounder could be a possible opponent for Crawford, Spence or Ugás. Time will tell.
Conor Benn remains undefeated at 20-0, with 13 knockouts. Let’s keep an eye on him.
