“Casimero is not Manny Pacquiao:” says Paul Butler (Analysis)

Casimero stops Tete.
Butler says Casimero is not the Pac-Man and that he will defeat “Quadro Alas”.... Reallly?

Yes, that’s what challenger from England promises... that he will dominate and dethrone the experienced Pinoy world champion born in the seaside city of Ormoc in beautiful sun-bathed Leyte.

Johnriel Casimero (31-4, 21 KO’s), and Paul Butler (33-2, 15 KO’s) will collide for Casimero’s WBO 118-lbs world title this Saturday, Dec 11, at the plush Coca-Cola Arena in super luxurious Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

It will be Casimero’s 5th defense of the crown he claimed 2 years ago in Carson, California and the battle-tested Casimero does not intend to let that belt go.

So, could Paul Butler indeed control Johnriel when the two men wage battle in just 2 days?

Or will the 3-division world champion “Quadro Alas” be too skilled and too slick of a fighter to completely outsmart the 33-year-old glory-hungry Briton owner of a pretty good record?

Many fans, including me, think that Butler has never been in the ring with a boxer with the talent of Johnriel Casimero; while Johnriel has beaten fighters way better than Butler.
Absolutely.

After seeing Johnriel for so many years, it’s clear to me that Casimero is like a good wine, getting better and better as time goes by.


Yes, he is now smarter in the ring, pacing himself, studying his opponent, throwing his jab for distance and for setting his straight right, delivering damaging combination and sneaking away from trouble when necessary. Much smarter he is now indeed. 100%.

Plus, in bantamweights he is punching harder.

Two example, Casimero was absolutely smart in dealing with a supremely difficult boxer as former champ Guillermo Rigondeaux; and his punching power was completely damaging and devastating in stopping Zolani Tete.

In consequence, I think that this Saturday Johnriel will be superbly effective and skilled in handling this new opponent Paul Butler, giving the British challenger a lesson in the beautiful art of boxing. (my humble opinion)

Finally, yes, Casimero is not the great Pacquiao. And Butler is not the awesome Tyson Fury. Everybody is different and unique; and every fighter brings his own set of skills to the ring.

So let’s see what unfolds Saturday and may the Best Man Win!
