Waminal has already won the interim WBA Asia bantamweight title and the GBO super bantamweight title. Waminal earned the interim WBA Asia bantamweight title by knocking out Jin Wook Lim of South Korea in the 9th round last Sept. 7, 2018 in Busan, South Korea. He then beat by a unanimous decision Sunil Siwach of India last Nov. 23, 2019 in Tagum City. He had no difficulty in beating Siwach. “Wala man ko nag lisod, nag lisod lang ko kay danlog ang kambas (I didn't have a hard time, I just had a hard time because the canvas was slippery),” said Waminal. Waminal and his trainer Jimmy Peleno are leaving for Cebu on June 17. “Oo ready na ako (Yes I am ready),” said Wahimal. Waminal is ready to fight Apolinar and has sparred 12 rounds already. Among those he sparred were Marco John “Pacific Cyclone” Rementizo (12W-3L-0D, 9KOs) and Jaysever “Lion Hearted” Abcede (20W-9L-0D, 12KOs). “Sa akong umaabot nga dula, buhaton nako ang tanan para madala nako pauli ang belt (In my next game, I will do everything I can to bring home the belt),” said Waminal. “Daku ni nga opportunity para sa akoa para ma rated na ko sa world (This is a great opportunity for me to be rated in the world),” he added. “Puhon og ihatag sa Ginoo para sa akoa (Hopefully God will give it to me),” said Waminal.
