Paul Ryan: This is my welcoming stage
PhilBoxing.com Fri, 16 Apr 2021

Paul Ryan plans on entering the professional world with a bang when he takes on Kyle Hughes on Saturday's huge #MTKFightNight.
Ryan enters the paid ranks for the first time when he goes up against Hughes (2-2) at the University of Bolton Stadium this weekend, live on IFL TV.
As an amateur, Dublin boxer Ryan won three national titles, along with a European silver medal and a world bronze medal, and the 22-year-old is now looking to flourish after turning over.
Ryan said: "It means everything to me to have my debut. This is how you set your tone and it's your welcoming stage. From here it will then snowball.
"I've been training hard every day, six days a week. The fruits of the labour will show. I leave no stone unturned and we do serious graft. This is my life and what I live to do. That will be the difference.
"You have to have the champion mentality. You have to want to win every second of every minute of every round. You have to show you are the best you are, and that you can potentially become a world champion. That's what we believe will happen.
"I don't worry about what an opponent can do, I just worry about myself and I work every day to be a better version of myself. I know on fight night that will be enough."
Elsewhere on Saturday’s card, Danny Dignum defends his WBO European middleweight title against Andrey Sirotkin, Dan Azeez puts his English light-heavyweight belt on the line against Ricky Summers, Joe Ham collides with Jack Bateson, Lewie Edmondson takes on Luke Blackledge, Fearghus Quinn clashes with Jan Ardon, Paul McCullagh meets Anthony Woolery, and Carl Fail goes up against Kristaps Zulgis.
