VEJII GETS IN THE RING FOR SHIELDS VS. DICAIRE UNIFIED CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT

*Customers who want to stock up on plant-based snacks to watch the big fight can receive 15% off their next order on SHOPVEJII.COM by using the code WOMENSDAY15, in honor of this groundbreaking event.

(Flint, MI – February 15, 2021) Salita Promotions proudly announces that plant-based online marketplace Vejii, has been brought on as a sponsor of the Friday, March 5, “SUPERWOMEN: SHIELDS VS. DICAIRE,’ event, an “herstoric” night of world-class all-female boxing featuring undefeated three-division world champion Claressa Shields taking on also unbeaten IBF Super Welterweight Champion Marie-Eve Dicaire in a 10-round 154-pound unification showdown.

By making the plant-based products accessible to all via their popular web site SHOPVEJII.COM, Vejii believes they can have a positive impact on the planet and its inhabitants. Vejii is looking to become the world's largest online vegan marketplace, and stands by its mission "vegan made simple," offering fair pricing on a full range of plant-based alternatives to traditional animal-based products delivered right to your door.

The North American-based venture has made sponsoring plant-based diet athletes like Shields, cruiserweight contender Laurence Okolie and world-champion surfing star Tia Blanco part of their ambitious business plan.

"Vejii is proud to support innovative athletes like Claressa Shields and Marie-Eve Dicaire, as well as all of the tremendous fighters on this historic card," said Kory Zelickson, CEO of Vejii. "We know that Claressa has been implementing more plant-based choices into her diet for the past year or so, and now she's not only ruling the women's boxing world but taking over in MMA as well. She is a true inspiration to young athletes around the globe.”

Celebrating women’s sports and dedicated to International Women’s Day 2021, (Monday, March 8, 2021), “SUPERWOMEN: SHIELDS VS. DICAIRE” will be broadcast live via InDemand to the major cable, satellite and telco outlets, as well as on livestreaming platform FITE.TV (9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT) from the Dort Financial Center in Flint, Michigan, for the price of just USD $29.95.

"Vejii's ethos and ethics are centered around promoting an inclusive environment,” continued Zelickson. "We're focused on promoting diversity, as well as standing behind female athletes, and in particular BIPOC women's athletes. An all-women's boxing pay-per-view is long overdue. We are proud to be associated with strong, inspirational athletes like the ones stepping in the ring that night."

The winner of the March 5 superfight will walk away with Shields’ WBC and WBO titles, Dicaire’s IBF belt, and the WBA (Super) crown, and become the WBA Super Champion, the first time in its 99-year history that the belt has been awarded to a female boxer. Event promoter Dmitriy Salita of Salita Promotions (in association with Groupe Yvon Michel) says besides her amazing accomplishments, Shields is also innovating what it means to be an elite athlete.

“Claressa Shields is not only changing the face of boxing; she is also shedding light on old concepts of what top athletes eat to get in world-class, tip-top shape,” said Salita. “With Claressa adding more plant-based products to her diet, I am excited to work with our sponsor Vejii for the Herstoric world title unification on March 5.”

The supporting bouts that night will highlight some of the best female talent of today and for the future, including undefeated 6-foot tall 198-lb heavyweight Danielle Perkins, powerful undefeated Floyd Mayweather Sr.-trained light heavyweight Nadia Meknouzi and super-talented current WBA interim super welterweight champion Raquel Miller in bouts to be announced soon.
