Ryan Garcia 135, Luke Campbell 135 for WBC Interim Belt in Dallas

PhilBoxing.com

Mexican-American rising star Ryan García (20-0, 17 KO’s) can’t wait to battle British former world-title challenger Luke Campbell (20-3, 16 KO’s) for the WBC Lightweight Interim Title tomorrow at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, a hot rumble that marks the starts the 2021 boxing calendar.

Both fighters looked in great shape during the official weigh-in, both men making the limit of the division; 135 pounds.

Ryan Garcia, 22, has quickly become one of boxing's most popular young athletes with a growing legion of followers in all his social media accounts.

Kingry dismantles Duno in one round.

Since joining the Golden Boy stable in 2016, Ryan “KingRy” Garcia has been working to deserve a world title shot after victimizing boxers as Filipino Romero Duno, Francisco Fonseca, Carlos Morales and Jason “La Maravilla” Velez.

After getting renowned Mexican trainer Eddy Reynoso as his head coach, the young California-native has looked better than ever, improving his technical skills and speed while scoring power knockout victories in his last 5 fights.

But tomorrow the toughest test of his career awaits for him: Luke Campbell.

With a fantastic win over the Campbell, Ryan would definitively prove that he 100% belongs to world championship level.

But Luke Campbell might not be an easy fish.

Campbell (R) is not an easy opponent.

The battle-tested Briton has been a WBC lightweight silver champion after claimed gold at the 2012 Olympics.

The southpaw Campbell, 33, is indeed a dangerous world-class fighter, surely the most difficult opponent in Ryan’s ascending career.

Along with victories against Darleys Pérez and former world champion Argenis Méndez, Campbell has waged war in highly competitive rumbles against former Lightweight unified champions Jorge “El Niño de Oro” Linares and Vasiliy Lomachenko. He lost both clashes by points, although displaying his fighting class against top-notch opponents and never being stopped.

Therefore, whether it’s because of his experience or his boxing skills, the Briton Campbell is confident that he can finish off the younger star Ryan Garcia. Will that happen?

This hottest fight of the weekend is promoted by Oscar de la Hoya live on DAZN.
