FRANK SANCHEZ TAKES OUT JULIAN FERNANDEZ IN 7
By Dong Secuya PhilBoxing.com Sun, 20 Dec 2020

Undefeated rising heavyweight Frank Sanchez of Las Vegas via Guantanamo Cuba knocked Julian Fernandez of Tijuana out of the ropes in the 7th round to retain his WBO NABO heavyweight title on the undercard of the Canelo-Smith WBC/WBA super middleweight unified championship at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas Saturday night broadcast live on DAZN.
Sanchez's sharp and powerful intent landed with bad intent but Fernandez showed his Mexican pedigree by taking Sanchez's shots well. In the second round Sanchez staggered Fernandez with a left midway in the round and followed it up with a barrage later but Fernandez survived the round.

Fernandez falls out of the ring.
In the 5th Sanchez hit Fernandez with a clean right to the chin but the tough Mexican stood his ground and even taunt the Cuban to come in and throw more. In the 7th round however, Sanchez connected with couple of powerful rights to the head that sent Fernandez out of the ropes to finally end the fight. Time: 1.35.
Sanchez improved his undefeated record to 17 wins with 13 stoppages while Fernandez dropped to 14-3-0, 11KOs.
