NBA Daily: Celtics Survive Beal's 44 to Beat Wizards 140-133

Boracay Island, Philippines – Bradley Beal erupted for 44 points on a 17-for-27 field goal shooting, including 4-for-6 from deep, but could not get his Wizards past the surging Boston Celtics 140-133 on Wednesday night (Thursday morning, Philippine time) at the TD Garden Arena in Boston, Massachusetts.
Japanese rookie sensation Rui Hachimura scored 21, while former Celtics star Isaiah Thomas added 18 for the Wizards, who dropped their 7th loss in 9 outings.
Kemba Walker led Boston with 25 points, including 6 treys, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. Jason Tatum rebounded from his atrocious shooting (1-for-18 from the field) in their previous game against Dallas to produce 23 markers, making 9 of his 20 shot attempts from the field.
The Celtics, who stretched their winning streak to nine after losing in the season opener, will next face the Warriors in San Francisco on Friday night (Saturday morning, Philippine time)
Meanwhile, the Wizards will travel to Minnesota on the same day to face the Timberwolves.
