NBA Daily: Antetokounmpo Struts MVP Form to Help Bucks Survive Kawhi-less Clippers 129-124

PhilBoxing.com

Cebu City, Philippines – Reigning league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo stuffed the stats sheet, posting 38 points, 16 rebounds, 9 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks, as the Milwaukee Bucks eked out a 129-124 thriller over the Clippers, Wednesday night (Thursday morning, Philippine time) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

Antetokounmpo also became the first player in league history to accumulate at least 200 points, 100 rebounds, and 50 assists in the first 8 games of a season.

Guards Eric Bledsoe and George Hill provided the needed support with 20 and 24 markers, respectively. Brook Lopez added a double-double of 11 points and 12 boards to go along with 3 dimes, 1 steal, and 6 blocks for the Bucks, who improved to 6 wins and 2 losses.

Lou Williams and Motrezl Harrell led the Clippers with 34 points apiece. Kawhi Leonard did not see action for rest purposes. He is however expected to play in the Clippers’ 2nd game of a back-to-back against the Portland Trailblazers on Thursday night (Friday morning, Philippine time).
