NBA Daily: Leonard Drops 38 on His Former Team, as Clippers Beat Spurs 103-97

Tagbilaran City, Bohol – Two-time Defensive Player of the Year and reigning Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard scored 15 of his game high 38 points in the fourth quarter to help the LA Clippers thwart the San Antonio Spurs 103-97 Friday night (Saturday morning, Philippine time) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
The Klaw also grabbed 12 boards and had 1 assist and 4 steals for the Clippers, who remained unbeaten on home floor and improved to a 4-2 win-loss card.
The Spurs were led by Demar DeRozan, the guy Kawhi was traded for last year, who provided 29 markers, but committed 7 costly turnovers for the Spurs, who dropped their first game in 4 outings, thus far this season.
The Clippers will next host the Utah Jazz on Sunday night (Monday morning, Philippine time).
Up next for the Spurs are the Golden State Warriors today in San Francisco for their first set of back-to-back games this season.
