WEIGHTS FROM INDIO, CA: SOTO - 107.6 LBS., HENO - 108 LBS.

Indio, CA: Moments ago, Golden Boy Promotions held the official weigh-in for the projected slam bang affair tomorrow night at the Fantasy Springs Casino Resort in this desert City.
Defending WBO world Jr. flyweight champion Elwin Soto (15-1-0,11KO) of Mexicali, Mexico stepped on the scales and registered 107.6 lbs. The challenger, Orient Pacific Boxing Federation champion, Edward Heno, of Paranaque City, Philippines, came in on the nose at 108lbs.
The duo will fight tomorrow night for Soto?s belt. The scheduled 12-round fight is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions in cooperation with Tecate Beer and Ring Magazine. It will be seen live on DZAN.
Heno is considered the underdog in this, his first fight in the US. But, he savors the fact that he is so because as he stated, the pressure is on the champion to do well or he will go home without his belt.

Heno trained at Las Vegas the past few days to acclimatize to the desert weather. Although the venue at Indio is indoors, the weather outside is almost like Las Vegas, hot and dry.
Marty Elorde of the Elorde Clan in Paranaque is the manager of Heno, while is promoter is the Manny Pacquiao Promotions headed by Sean Gibbons.
